Inside HavocTown

What your next
session could look like.

Use these concrete activities to decide whether HavocTown belongs on your list.

01 / Gameplay

From a chase to a character build

The appeal of HavocTown’s streets is having several ways to act. You can travel in a vehicle, leave it to fight, or head toward a mission staging point. The overhead view helps you read roads and nearby danger. Enterable buildings in the hunting worlds introduce first-person interiors, so the whole game does not use one camera perspective.

Your equipment makes those decisions matter. Review a weapon’s damage, range, attack rate and remaining uses before a fight. Armour and allocated character stats also shape your build. A public character profile shows equipped item information, giving you concrete examples of how other characters are set up.

Police attention has consequences

HavocTown’s wanted system changes the response as danger rises. Lower wanted levels bring officers attempting to stop you. At four stars police use firearms, and five stars bring tactical squads and roadblocks. Driving away becomes harder as the response escalates; pay attention to your route rather than treating every street as an escape.

For a more directed fight, use the event timetable. Fight Club focuses on brawling, Bank Heist brings armed responders, and city encounters ask you to reach a marked location. Each has its own entry instructions and rewards. Choose the activity that fits your current equipment instead of assuming every fight uses the same rules.

Choose multiplayer progression or solo chaos

HavocTown is worth investigating if your missing ingredient is other players. Meet friends on the same server, form a party and select a job. You can also choose a zombie hunting world and regroup at a named hunting area. Apocalypse City starts with the lowest recommended level band; Woodland Outbreak and Alpine Deadzone raise the challenge.

That is a different reason to play from chasing a self-contained arcade run. HavocTown is an online RPG in alpha, and its progression, enemy rules and mission structure are its own. It does not promise Maniac’s destruction model or run structure. If those specific systems are your priority, keep them on your checklist while comparing games.

Questions about
Maniac and HavocTown.

Check the differences that matter to your next session.

Is this a multiplayer version of Maniac?

No. HavocTown is a separate online RPG. The comparison is about shared interests in city action and pursuits, not shared software, content or a connection between the games.

Does HavocTown use short roguelite runs?

Its core progression is a saved online character with XP, stats, equipment and owned vehicles. Missions and events are activities for that character; they are not presented as a Maniac-style run system.

Can I hunt zombies without waiting for an event?

Hunting worlds use the WORLD travel panel and have their own respawning enemies. Choose a destination while alive and on foot, after finishing or leaving an active event. The shared event timetable is a separate system.

Where can I check HavocTown’s release and download status?

The current game targets Windows PC and is in alpha development. The platform page has the current availability; development updates explain recent work. Check those details before making plans with your group.
