Your agreement

These terms govern HavocTown accounts, the game client and online services provided by Avomu in Netherlands. Our legal and contact page identifies the operator. “You” means the account holder.

When you are asked to accept these terms at registration, they form the account agreement with Avomu. The community rules form part of that agreement. If you buy GP, the purchase terms and the information presented for that order also apply. Specific purchase promises take precedence over a conflicting general statement here.

The privacy policy explains data use; accepting these terms is not consent to advertising or a waiver of privacy rights. Simply reading a public webpage does not enrol you in the game or a newsletter. Mandatory consumer rights prevail over any inconsistent clause.

Age & account access

You must be at least 16 to create a HavocTown account. GP purchases on this website are restricted to adults aged 18 or older. If you are under 18 and local law requires a parent or legal guardian’s permission for the account agreement, obtain that permission before registering. Do not misrepresent your age.

The game contains stylised combat, firearms, zombies, blood effects and player interaction. The account age limit is Avomu’s access policy; it is not an official PEGI or other age classification.

Use an email address you control and keep account details accurate. Protect your password and do not sell, lend or transfer your account. Tell support promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We will investigate security reports fairly; these duties do not make you automatically liable for every action taken by someone who compromises your account.

A website account and a game account may be separate records. Linking game information requires proof of email ownership; matching a username alone is not enough. You need compatible equipment, an internet connection and any required game updates. Check the published system and platform information before installing or buying.

Game licence & ownership

While your account is authorised, Avomu grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install supported copies of the client and use the services for personal entertainment in accordance with this agreement. Buying GP or an in-game item does not transfer ownership of the game, its code, artwork, trademarks or other intellectual property. Rights belong to Avomu or the relevant licensors.

Do not redistribute the client or paid assets, sell unauthorised access, bypass security or payment controls, use cheats or automation that undermines fair play, or reverse engineer protected components except where applicable law expressly permits it. Nothing here removes a statutory right to interoperability, lawful research or other uses that cannot be excluded by contract.

You may share your own gameplay screenshots and videos, including ordinary monetised streams, provided you do not expose private information, redistribute standalone game assets or imply official endorsement. Third-party music and other separately licensed material may require its owner’s permission. This permission does not grant rights we do not own.

Beta & service changes

HavocTown is in development. Tests can contain bugs, downtime, balance changes, incomplete features and resets of test progression. Preview images and roadmap items do not guarantee an unreleased feature or launch date. These limitations do not excuse a failure to honour a specific purchase promise or mandatory digital-content rights.

We may make proportionate changes to fix defects, improve security or balance, meet legal requirements, or adapt to technical needs. We will explain material changes and give reasonable advance notice where practicable. Urgent security or legal issues may require immediate action.

Changes that adversely affect paid content or contracted access are subject to applicable notice, cancellation and refund rights. We do not reserve an unrestricted right to remove paid benefits without remedy. For beta GP, the specific grand-opening credit promise applies.

Player conduct & content

Follow the community rules. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, dox, defraud or exploit other people; distribute malware; disrupt services; cheat; or intentionally exploit bugs for an unfair advantage. Fictional violence in the game is not permission to threaten real people.

You remain responsible for names, messages and material you submit. Only submit material you have the right to share. You retain your rights in original content you create. You grant Avomu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display that material only as reasonably necessary to operate the feature you use, moderate it and handle support or legal claims. Publicity or advertising use outside those purposes requires separate permission where applicable. We do not take ownership of your private messages or an unrestricted licence to your identity.

Character profiles and rankings can display your character name, saved appearance, level, XP, stats, equipped items, published event scores and guild membership to visitors of the public website. See the privacy notice for the scope of these public records and how to contact us about them.

We may remove or restrict content that violates these rules or the law. Players’ statements are their own; our ability to moderate does not guarantee that every interaction is safe or pre-reviewed.

GP & purchases

GP is a virtual game benefit, not a bank deposit, cryptocurrency, investment or claim to profit. It is not redeemable for cash except where a refund or other legal remedy applies. Do not sell GP or accounts for real money outside authorised features.

Founder Packs are purchases, even if they support development. They are not charitable donations. Prices, the GP amount and any bonus must be shown before payment. Purchases are subject to the purchase and refund terms; these terms do not say that all sales are final.

Suspension & appeals

We may warn a player, remove offending content, reverse an exploit-derived advantage, limit a feature, suspend access or close an account for a serious or repeated breach, fraud, a genuine security risk, or a legal requirement. The action should be proportionate to the severity, evidence, risk and history. We may restrict access immediately where needed to protect others or investigate a credible incident.

Where lawful and practical, we will provide the reason and explain how to appeal. We may withhold details that would expose another person’s private information, defeat security measures or breach the law. Contact [email protected] for review; you may challenge mistakes, including restrictions involving a shared IP address or device.

Making a good-faith complaint, privacy request, lawful refund request or payment dispute is not itself grounds for punishment. A restriction does not automatically remove your statutory rights or allow us to confiscate unrelated paid benefits. Any financial adjustment must have a lawful, proportionate basis.

Ending your account

You may stop playing at any time. To close an account or request deletion, email [email protected] from the account address. We may need to verify ownership and resolve outstanding orders. Data deletion follows the privacy policy and applicable retention requirements; uninstalling the game or deleting a character alone does not close every related account.

If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice where possible and explain how outstanding paid entitlements will be handled. Mandatory refunds, remedies and the beta purchase promises remain relevant. We do not promise indefinite operation of a test server.

Responsibility & liability

We must provide the service and paid benefits with the care and quality required by the agreement and applicable law. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free beta access. Reasonable testing limitations do not exclude statutory guarantees.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made, or business losses arising from use of a service supplied for personal entertainment. We are not responsible for an independent third party’s service merely because we link to it; we remain responsible for our own obligations.

Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or gross negligence, death or personal injury where it cannot lawfully be limited, mandatory digital-content remedies, data-protection liability or any other liability that the law does not allow us to exclude. You retain the remedies and court access provided by applicable law. There is no blanket indemnity requiring players to pay every cost or claim against Avomu.

Law & complaints

Dutch law governs this agreement. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections that would otherwise apply in your country of habitual residence.

Contact [email protected] with a complaint so we can try to resolve it. You may use the courts and any competent complaint or alternative-dispute-resolution body available under applicable law. We do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver or an exclusive foreign court that overrides consumer jurisdiction rules.

If a provision is unenforceable, it applies only to the extent lawful, without depriving consumers of rights. The remaining provisions continue where they can fairly operate. Not enforcing a rule on one occasion does not automatically waive it in future.

Changes to these terms

We may update the terms for changes in the service, security needs or the law. We will identify the new version and explain material changes. Where a change materially affects your contractual rights, we will give appropriate advance notice and obtain renewed agreement where required. A change will not retroactively rewrite a completed purchase or remove an accrued refund right.

If you do not agree to a proposed material change, you may stop using the affected service and exercise any applicable termination or refund right. Keep a copy of the version you accept.
