The objective

How to play Kingpin.

The Kingpin is on the prowl. He starts at Harborside Plaza, walks toward players and breaks into a run when someone gets close. Shooting him draws his attention, so the fight can move with your crew. Follow the gold crown on the minimap to find his current position and finish the hunt before his five minutes in the city run out.

Track the crown

Listen for the city event announcement and watch the gold minimap crown. It follows the boss as he leaves Harborside Plaza.

Stay out of rocket fire

Keep moving and spread the crew out. The boss runs toward nearby players, and hurting him can turn his attention toward you.

Finish the fight

Defeat the Kingpin before the five-minute escape timer ends. Meaningful damage contribution is needed to share the bounty.

Get into the action

Find the encounter.

Watch city event chat and follow the gold crown on your minimap. The Kingpin spawns at Harborside Plaza, then moves through the streets. This city-wide encounter has no ENTER queue.

5 minutes before the boss escapes

This encounter unfolds in the shared city. TONIGHT lists it as CITY-WIDE, and city event chat announces its arrival. Results are for players who engage in the fight; simply being nearby is not enough.

Clear roles, a ready loadout and knowing the objective help more than rushing in.

Use the moving minimap crown; the boss may already have left the plaza.

Spread out so one rocket does not hit the whole group.

Standing nearby without contributing does not earn the displayed bounty.
